We may go through many difficult things in life but one difficult situation that many people face is going through a divorce.

Some people will call it the easy way out but in reality, it is very difficult to go through.

A lot of emphasis is put on being a single mother, and for good reason. It is also important, however, to remember the father and, if they are living up to their responsibility, it can be a difficult road to travel.

One single father who knows this very well is Billy Gadbios. He is a single father and he works along with his ex-wife to ensure that the children have the best life they possibly can.

If you are divorced, you likely know that dealing with your ex-spouse is not always the easiest thing to do. There is still a lot of give-and-take that is necessary, especially when the children are involved.

Billy understands this very well, which is why he does something that most people would never consider doing. To help people understand why he does it he went on Facebook.

He said: “It’s my ex-wife’s birthday today so I got up early and brought flowers and cards and a gift over for the kids to give her and helped them make her breakfast. Per usual someone asked me why … I still do things for her all the time. This annoys me. So ima break it down for you all.

“I’m raising two little men. The example I set for how I treat their mom is going to significantly shape how they see and treat women and affect their perception of relationships. I think even more so in my case because we are divorced.

“So if you aren’t modeling good relationship behavior for your kids, get your [act] together. Rise above it and be an example. This is bigger than you.

Raise good men. Raise strong women. Please. The world needs them, now more than ever.”

This is excellent advice that teaches us all a good lesson.
