Teaching can be a fun and rewarding experience while being a tough, grueling, and underappreciated job. However, there are those days as an educator that really stand out and makes you smile, those special students who create special moments teachers remember for a lifetime.
This is a story about one of those special students named Johnny, who for some reason kept answering a very easy question posed by his teacher in class with the wrong answer. She just couldn’t figure it out until the young man said something that put everything into perfect perspective!
Teacher: “If I gave you 2 cats and another 2 cats and another 2, how many would you have?”
Johnny: “Seven.”

Teacher: “No, listen carefully… If I gave you two cats, and another two cats and another two, how many would you have?”
Johnny: “Seven.”
Teacher: “Let me put it to you differently. If I gave you two apples, and another two apples and another two, how many would you have?”
Johnny: “Six.”
Teacher: “Good. Now if I gave you two cats, and another two cats and another two, how many would you have?”
Johnny: “Seven!”
