The Internet has made skeptics out of many of us and there are things that people trying to pass off as truth that we know are lies. Every once in a while, however, we see something that is more than just a coincidence, it seems to be strange because it is true.
We have some of those interesting phenomena listed for you below. Some of these are a matter of science fiction becoming science fact and others are just strange things that have happened over history that are difficult to explain.
1. Vern and His Book
Jules Vern wrote the book, From the Earth to the Moon and it was published in 1865. It is about a Canon known as Columbiad that fired a projectile to the moon. 104 years later, Apollo 11 had a spacecraft module that went to the moon known as Columbia.
2. Striking Resemblance
Enzo Anselmo Ferrari was part of the Ferreri Grand Prix racing team and he died on August 14, 1988. A soccer player was born on October 15 of the same year and they look like identical twins.
3. Titanic
People today still talk about the sinking of the Titanic and it was something that could not be predicted. In 1898, however, a novel called Futility spoke about a shipwreck of a ship known as the Titan after it collided with an iceberg. That book came out a few years before the wreck of the Titanic.
4. Jimi Hendrix
The composer Georg Friedrich Händel is one of the greatest composers of the 17th and 18th century. He lived at 25 Brook St. in London’s Mayfair district. At number 23, another musical genius, Jimi Hendrix lived.
5 Anthony Hopkins
Anthony Hopkins was given an opportunity to star in The Girl from Petrovka. He tried to find a copy of the original novel so he could play the role to the best of his ability. He happened to find a copy of the lost book on a park bench and even ended up meeting the writer during the filming.
6. Twins
Twins who were separated at 3 weeks of age in 1979 both ended up with the same name, Jim. They both loved carpentry and math and worked in security. Both married women named Linda, and were divorced and then married women named Betty. They both named their sons James Allan and James Alan.
7. Elanor Rigby
John Lennon and Paul McCartney met in 1957 at St. Peter’s Church in Woolton. They ended up being part of the Beatles, but the place where they met was also the location of the grave of Elanor Rigby.
9 years later, they wrote the song “Elanor Rigby” after the actress Elanor Bron and a store, Rigby & Evens. McCartney later said the grave had something to do with it.
8. Stephen Hawking
Stephen Hawking died on March 14, which is the 139th birthday of Einstein and the day we celebrate Pi.
9. Stewardess
Nurse Violet Jessop worked on the Olympic as a stewardess when it hit another ship. The ship was able to get back to port. ONe year later, she was sent to the Titanic and survived the sinking. She was on the Britannic later and survived an explosion.
10. Mark Twain
Halley’s comet passes earth every 76 years, including in 1865 when Mark Twain was born. He said that he would die the same year the comet passed again, and he did.
11. Photographed Twice by Google Maps
Leanne Cartwright is being called a time traveler. She was seen on Google Maps 10 years apart at the same location, holding a bag.
12. Mexico Earthquakes
September 19 was the date of a strong earthquake in Mexico City in 1985. Since then, they have carried out drills on that date. Shortly after the drills in 2017 and 2022, there were strong earthquakes in Mexico.
