Ice-cold water 3-4 tbsp

Granulated sugar 1 cup
All-purpose flour 2 tbsp
Salt 1 pinch
Water 2 cups
Vanilla extract 1 tsp
Butter 1 tbsp
Ground nutmeg A pinch

Instructions:

Prepare the Crust

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  2. Cut in the vegetable shortening with a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add the ice-cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough comes together.
