Moms and sons have a very special bond. Every mother gives up a big piece of themselves to care for their children, whether they are biological, there’s, or adopted. However, the tender relationship between mother and son is special. Little boys worship their moms.

They want nothing more than to bring a smile to their faces. And as they grow into good, loving, respectful adults, this feeling never goes away.

Any mother lucky enough to hold her tiny baby boy in her arms and watch over the years as he grows into a strong young man must feel bitter-sweet emotions when it’s time for them to marry. During this time, that little boy who used to run home with dirt on his face and scraped knees is often taking the first step to becoming a father. In a video that’s gone viral, a groom at his wedding wishes to honor his paralyzed mother with a dance.

Of course, his mom may have never dreamed of ever being able to dance with her son at his wedding or at least resigned herself long ago to its impossibility.

But that night, her strong young knight in shining armor decided to make his mother’s dream come true.

Lori married her husband back in 1983. They were high school sweethearts. At this time, doctors had already diagnosed her with muscular dystrophy, but her symptoms were minor in those days. Sadly, over time they would only get worse.

Years later, doctors told the couple that it was unlikely she would ever have children because of Lori’s condition. However, the brave mom gave birth to Heather, Valerie, and David.

In 2013, Lori watched her only son get married, and the loving mom couldn’t have been prouder — or so she thought.

Little did she know that David planned a very special mother-son dance at the reception. The moment that was captured on video had the entire reception in tears.

David bent down and gently picked his mother up out of her wheelchair, and the two danced in the middle of the dance floor.

It was something right out of a movie!
