Although there are many musical instruments, the piano is a favorite for many people. As it turns out, it isn’t only the standard piano that is popular, even standing pianos can make beautiful music.

Most of us became familiar with standing pianos after they appeared in the movie, Big. Tom Hanks and Robert Loggia played the giant piano at FAO Schwartz in the movie.

That was amazing to see, but it is nothing compared to what Silvia Zotto and Leo Moreno are able to accomplish. They are part of an Italian performing group, called Il Grande Piano.

One of the members came up with the idea for the giant piano, and the audience has been loving what they’ve done ever since. He was actually inspired by the movie Big and they built one similar to what you see in that iconic scene.

The piano is easy to transport so they can perform at various places in the world without difficulty. They often perform at outdoor plazas and arenas, but they may also perform at cathedrals or other historical buildings.
