An aviation YouTuber and her father were killed in a plane crash just a month after she was involved in another aircraft malfunction.

Jenny Blalock, 45, and her father James, 78, lost their lives when their plane crashed in Tennessee on Thursday, as reported by the New York Post.

The fatal crash occurred around 11:00AM in Pulaski, a city on the central-southern border of Alabama, as confirmed by federal and county officials.

The aircraft went down on a remote road, with Jenny and James’s bodies discovered outside the wreckage in a challenging-to-reach area.

Bill Myers, director of the Giles County Office of Emergency Management, described the scene as “devastating” with “significant damage” and, unfortunately, no survivors, according to 10 News.

The father-and-daughter duo had covered 180 miles from Knoxville before the tragic incident, falling just 10 miles short of their destination at a city-owned airport.

While the investigation into the crash is ongoing, it is noteworthy that Jenny, known as TNFlyGirl in the aviation community, had recently posted a video showcasing her composure during an emergency landing prompted by an aircraft malfunction.

In the video, filmed from 4,000 feet in the air, she calmly handled a mid-flight battery failure and loose screws on the regulator, successfully landing the aircraft without issue.

“God bless and fly safe,” she told her 16,000 subscribers at the end of the video. The experienced private pilot, flying for fun in a Beechcraft Debonair, documented her flying adventures with her father.

Ahead of the fatal flight, Jenny had shared a video in November revealing that she and her father were taking one of their first trips together “in a while.”

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Brett Thees, Jenny’s partner, shared: “Jenny and her dad were not just daughter/father, they were best friends and did EVERYTHING together!”

The rest of his heartfelt post read: “Some knew Jenny Blalock as Tnflygirl, the barnwood girl, or as a very talented home builder/designer. I remember her as ‘Babe’.

“Jenny and I shared 9 years together. We experienced the highs and the lows that life can throw you but we were always there for each other. She was family oriented and deeply passionate about all aspects of life. If you weren’t on her side/team then you’d better get out of her way because she was out to prove you wrong.”

The Blalock family issued a statement expressing comfort in the belief that the father-daughter pair, who had an extremely close bond, “were together when they met our Lord and Savior!”
