She playfully labeled kids dressed as Barbie and Spider-Man as “adorable scabs” and introduced alternative costumes conforming to the SAG-AFTRA rules, such as “Harry Potter as described only in the books,” “minor characters from the Bible absent from any screen adaptation,” and characters from daytime and reality TV.
These guidelines were instituted amidst ongoing actor strikes that commenced on July 14, prompted by a labor dispute with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
